Ideology refers to a system of ideas including morals, ethics, principles, beliefs, and philosophies. Basically, ideology is an idea. However, with respect to architectural philosophy, how can ideology be part of architecture? Ideology is extremely essential to architecture with the forms of idea with expressive.
I researched some architects and artists’ works that use varied approaches to develop their own ideology. One such artist has inspired me: Andy Goldsworthy, a British sculptor; he has developed his own contemporary land art. I studied his land artwork and learned how he chooses the shape, line, and color of his natural artwork.
I drew the sketch before I transferred it onto the finalized artwork, adhering to my ideology of geometry, which includes the three core shapes: triangle, square, and circle. All three are the humble shapes that become the varied shapes of triangle, square, and circle into a complex in an artwork however it becomes to abstract. All those shapes were not making to be perfect and same scale of three shapes to providing a flexible of shapes. I was careful with line qualify, abstract, shapes, and measures. I made sure all threes showed the real consequential in my drawing.
